Today's the day!!!

Well, after 3 years of planning it's finally here! We leave for Spain today and will arrive tomorrow morning. Our flights are always scheduled so that we fly over night to Spain and sleep on the plane that night. That way, when we arrive in Spain, it is easier for us to adjust to the different time zone. Spain is 7 hours ahead of Minnesota so it is quite an adjustment.

One of the things we have been planning to do is to visit a spot in the Puerta del Sol where there is a live cam and wave at the camera. It sounds like we will have some free time on Sunday so we will try it then. I am not exactly sure of the time but I'm thinking between 11-noon Spain time. Unfortunately, that's really early MN time. So, the first time will just be a practice and then hopefully we will have enough time to do it again, later in the day. We will try to text family/friends back home to let them know when we will be there. But, if you want to check out a live view of the Puerta del Sol at any time, here is the link:

The Puerta del Sol is the city center and a main shopping hub. It is currently under construction but people can still get through. I'm bummed that the construction is happening now but there isn't anything we can do about that.

Check back for updates throughout the day; I'm sure I'll post again throughout the day.

Hasta muy pronto!
